    Summary

    Serve as a Scientist or Engineer at the GG-13 grade level and perform complex tasks regarding scientific and technical intelligence analysis and production for Emerging & Disruptive Technologies relative to an assigned area in engineering, mathematics, oceanography, physics, naval architecture, and other physical sciences for one or more foreign countries. This position is located in Suitland, MD in the FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER.

    Responsibilities

    • The employee serves as an analyst for the Emerging and Disruptive Technologies | Undersea Warfare Integration Division (TAC-12) within the Farragut Technical Analysis Center (TAC) at the Office of Naval Intelligence, Suitland, MD
    • Perform complex, in-depth, all-source, scientific and technical intelligence (S and TI) analysis on emerging and disruptive technologies to the Department of Navy (DON).
    • Use innovative scientific and all-source analysis methodologies and processes for application to complex and comprehensive assessments of naval platform/systems capabilities and performance.
    • Apply engineering, modeling, and mathematical skills to contribute to engineering assessments of the assigned platform/systems, their associated components, and technologies.
    • Independently identify intelligence gaps and identify the appropriate collection vehicle to fill the gaps. Uses all available intelligence collection methods and systems, their capabilities and limitations, and appropriate tasking methods.
    • Focus areas are, but not limited to; artificial intelligence, communications, quantum sciences and robotics.
