As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Analyst to AsDC), you will:
• Analyze supervision findings and other sources of information to identify areas of concern, determine methods of resolution, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
• Analyze banking industry, economic, and other financial data to identify potential systemic risks and assess the impact of system risk on assigned portfolio and supervisory strategies for portfolio institutions.
• Prepare presentations for the AsDC to communicate with OCC management, banking industry officials, trade groups , other federal agencies, and public interest groups.
• Participate as a member of district/Midsize risk management and operations committees.
• Provides input and expertise on safety and soundness and administrative issues.
You must meet the following requirements within 60 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
• Analyzing financial data to identify systemic risk and assess the impact; OR
• Providing consulting services to management on bank supervisory issues and operational processes.
Selective factor: You must also possess a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission reflecting that you are authorized to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks; OR a Federal Thrift Regulator (FTR) accreditation reflecting that you are authorized to sign ROEs for federal savings associations.
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
