    The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC).

    This Job Opportunity Announcement (JOA) may be used to fill other Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), GS -2210- 14 positions within the FRTIB in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

    As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for leading the Vulnerability Management Branch within the Office of Technology Services and be responsible for performing the following duties:

    • -Providing situational awareness of cyber activities. Proactively monitoring critical systems utilizing IT tools to protect the infrastructure. Managing penetration testing and vulnerability scanning. Reviewing logs and Intrusion Detection System alerts. Establishing security system boundaries in coordination with the Enterprise Services Division.
    • -Engineering, implementing and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
    • -Identifying and defining system security requirements.
    • -Managing the Risk Management Framework process and efforts for the agency.
    • -Designing system security architecture and developing detailed security designs.
    • -Preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols.
    • -Providing oversight and requirements for operating the Vulnerability Management Program.
    • -Configuring and troubleshooting security infrastructure devices.
    • -Developing technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
    • -Writing comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.
    • -Performing related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
