As the Regional Administrative Specialist, the incumbent serves as the "Office Manager" of the Regional Office and as such provides technical/administrative management assistance and advice to senior management officials, supervisory and administrative management and employees throughout the Region. Major duties include:
Moderate Risk Position - Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required.
Completion of Confidential Financial Disclosure may be required.
Employee may be relocated to any duty location to meet management needs.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Specialized Experience Statement: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience administratively overseeing and/or coordinating personnel management and administrative program operations specifically related to position management, time and attendance, awards, personnel/payroll operations, budget and travel.
Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors - if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.

Knowledge of supervisory techniques sufficient to manage and direct the work of others
