    This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), Office of Surveillance and Biometrics (OSB), Division of Biostatistics, Diagnostics Statistics Branch II, located in Silver Spring, Maryland.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as an expert advisor to the CDRH senior management and other research teams relating to the development and application of statistical techniques to the evaluation of medical device products;
    • Design and conduct Division projects to enhance post-market surveillance/evaluation of medical devices;
    • Find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, or improve business practices;

    • Provide statistical, methodological, and data management information and advice, including providing analytical and consultant services within the scope of policies and programs;
    • Coordinate cross-cutting issues vital to the Center's mission. Interact with national and international scientific groups and institutions to identify, support research, and resolve statistical problems of mutual interest.
