    About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Aviation and Missile Center, (AvMC), Weapons Development & Integration Directorate, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

    This is a DoD Demonstration Project position.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the Weapons Development and Integration Directorate Deputy Director, a distinguished Combat Capabilities Development Command, Aviation and Missile Center (CCDC AvMC) technical expert and scientific and engineering leader in Missile Systems.
    • Ensure execution of the Missile Science and Technology Portfolio across the organizational boundaries of the Sensors, Guidance and Electronics and the Propulsion and Structures sub-directorates.
    • Responsible for developing, defending and executing a direct budget of $250M annually and substantially influencing another $500M annually.
    • Collaborate with industry, academia, and international partners to ensure the mission is accomplished.
    • Oversee a workforce performing missile system science and technology, including missile subsystems/ components and air defense radar technology.
    • Responsible for establishment, along with consistent execution, of all standardized business and personnel management practices and policies across the Weapons Development and Integration Directorate.
    • Oversee missile research and technology development, ensuring maximum performance, mission effectiveness, cost effectiveness and safety for all components in the mission portfolio.

    Travel Required

    50% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position up to 30% of the time away from permanent duty location.
