    • Provide the overall systems engineering/computer science and technical integration for the planning, planning, directing, conducting, coordination, and advising on projects and programs of broad scope and unusual complexity.
    • Direct enterprise telecommunications networks, systems engineering/computer science and technical integration in Army and Joint telecommunications systems including, but not limited to, IP networks, data centers, and data and voice services.
    • Integrate advance state-of-the-art equipment to provide new and unprecedented system/network capabilities.
    • Perform critical analysis concerning engineering/computer science and implementation of specialty area systems.
    • Participate in all ongoing technical teams involved with the engineering, computer science, implementation and test of these programs, projects, and technologies.
    • Visit other government agencies and industry to observe progress, and to assess and render expert advice and assistance.
    • Initiate and conduct broad studies to determine the most feasible methodology to meet Army requirements using all available systems (military and commercial).
    • Provide expert opinion on final technical reports and briefings encompassing pertinent analysis, conclusions, and recommendations
    • Review technical concept papers, develop technical guides, and establish technical architectures in Army programs.
    • Perform advanced hands-on technical skills associated with the configuration, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of enterprise level routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and other associated IP network systems and components.
    • Maintain theoretical and hands-on knowledge and skills comparable to the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Juniper Networks Certified Professional-Enterprise (JNCIP-ENT), or equivalent technical proficiency level.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Up to 25% Business Travel required.
