This position serves as a Senior Program Advisor in one, or more, of the Denali Commission programs or directs the development of new programs. The position has the primary responsibility for developing, managing, and coordinating all aspects of individual programs consistent with the agency Annual Work Plan and other agency funding mechanisms.Learn more about this agency
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13 . If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Developing programs in diverse subject areas with little external or internal support
- Building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally in the area of rural programs and their development encouraging and coordinating participation with local, regional, state and federal entities.
- Participates in project solicitation, selection and negotiation.
- Drafts and finalizes all financial assistance awards (FAA) and project authorizations within program areas of responsibility.
Occasional travel - 1-3 days per month
