    About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as Procurement Analyst and Small Business Professional (SBP), providing expert advice to the organization on acquisition related policy and compliance issues for Small Business and Government Purchase Cards
    • Advises on all matters related to the Small Business Program and on the feasibility and impact of Small Business plans, policies, and decisions.
    • Monitors the Federal programs related to small business and provides guidance on socioeconomic opportunities to the Director and Deputy Director.
    • Identifies and develops new and special partnerships, teaming arrangements, and mentorship programs aimed at drawing firms in the mainstream of contracting activities.
    • Administers the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program.
    • Serves as the technical expert on GPC matters by providing contracting and acquisition advice to GPC Cardholders and Billing Officials.
    • Provides training and education on GPC regulations, policies, and requirements.
    • Runs the Trusted Associate Sponsorship System and acts as a trusted agent for the organization.
