- Serve as a senior scientist, evaluate highly complex laboratory and field studies, drawing and combining results into assessments and applying the results of these studies into risk characterizations that are useful to risk managers in understanding pesticide environmental and ecological risk;
- Lead task and project teams in the performance of risk assessments and characterizations, using fate, transport, biological, and toxicological data to provide advice and authoritative reviews on the effects of pesticides in the environment;
- Serve on inter-program and inter-agency work groups and present the Program’s positions on risk assessment/fate issues;
- Provide technical authority on reviewing, revising, and developing the Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) and Environmental Fate and Effects Division (EFED) policies for assessing and characterizing pesticide exposure and risk to non target organisms.
