    About the Position: Incumbent serves as a technical specialist in environmental risk assessment and data analysis for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District (NWK). Work involves independently conducting risk and data analysis, and supporting unique and unprecedented technical and policy decisions relating to environmental management and remediation.

    • Serves as project risk assessor and/or industrial hygienist/health and safety professionalproviding sound technical advice and assistance to Environmental Engineering Branch
    • Provides expert advice, guidance, and assistance on risk- and/or IH/health and safety related matters during the planning, investigation, design, and remedial action phases of environmental restoration projects
    • Evaluates and assesses complex data which may include individual chemicals and mixtures of chemicals for which health-related values have not been established
    • Plans, organizes schedules, and reviews work for compliance with established DoD, DA, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety standards

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
