    Responsibilities

    Supervisory Contract Specialist (Division Chief)/ 16022-A

    • Exercises supervisory and/or managerial authority for no less than three (3) GS-13 level Contract Specialist supervisors whom directly supervise a group of employees performing work at the GS-5 through the GS-12/13 level.
    • Provides work assignment and review, as well as administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised.
    • Distributes workload and ensures work assignments are carried out.
    • Establishes guidelines and performance expectations, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
    • Develops work improvement plans recommending personnel actions as necessary.
    • Will provide direction to the teams in selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures.
    • Recommends NCO policies that enhance and support effective acquisition operations, supply chain management and facilitates national VHA initiatives.
