    About the Position: The Savannah District Office is located in the downtown historic district (largest in the nation) where you can live and walk to work. Gorgeous weather! Savannah is located on the Georgia/South Carolina border on the Atlantic Ocean and is easily accessible by I-95 and I-16. It is located approximately 89 miles from Charleston, SC, and 225 miles from Atlanta, GA. Savannah is home to Hunter Army Airfield and is 30 miles from Ft. Stewart, in Hinesville, GA.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, preform and manage hydrographic and topographic surveys relating to maintenance and new work dredging, earth work, planning studies and disaster support.
    • Manage survey equipment and systems to ensure calibration, operation, maintenance and repair.
    • Serve as lead technical representative for hydrographic and topographic surveying program.

    Travel Required

    50% or less - Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 35% may be required.
