This position is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Tractor Operator position with DLA Installation Mgmt- Operations Columbus Golf.
This position is a Flexible (Flex) position. You may be regularly scheduled or scheduled on an as needed basis, but there are no guaranteed hours. Flex employees are not entitled to leave or benefits.
As a(n) Tractor Operator, NA-5705-06, the incumbent:
- Incumbent operates a field-type tractor with attached and towed equipment.
- Transports materials and equipment; and digs, loads, plants, clears, mows and dispenses liquid and solid materials.
- Performs minor maintenance on field-type tractors and attached and towed equipment.
- Adjusts the equipment for job requirements such as setting the height of mower blades, depth of plow blades, and the rate of application of sprayer attachments.

Spouse Employment Preference. Spouses of active duty service members who relocate to the duty station on orders and marriage occurred prior to reporting to the new duty station. An eligible spouse must request consideration at the time of application. Eligibility begins 30 days before the reporting date on the orders and continues during the entire tour, or until acceptance or declination of a position offer (NAF or APF) at the grade for which preference has been requested or placement into any continuing position (NAF or APF), or one expected to continue for at least 1 year in the new duty location, whether or not preference was applied. Required Documentation: PCS orders, including a statement authorizing the spouse to accompany the member to the permanent duty station, the specific location to which the member is assigned, reassigned, or transferred, and the effective date of the permanent change of station AND verification of the marriage to the service member (i.e., a marriage license or other legal documentation verifying marriage).
Involuntarily Separated Military Preference. Open to certain members of the Armed Services, and dependents, who were involuntarily separated from active duty under honorable conditions, are entitled to preference in hiring for a period of 1 year after separation. Current DOD Appropriated Fund Employee. Currently serving DOD APF employees in position without time limits and have been continuously employed with DOD APF for the past year. Required Documentation: Two SF-50s, 1) most recent SF-50 (other than an award SF-50) and 2) one that is at least one year older, which demonstrates continuous employment for 1 year.
Outside Applicant Veteran.
