    About the Position: This position serves as the United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) Battalion (BN) Information Technology (IT) Specialist providing automation and communication support, customer service, technical assistance, and training to the battalion and subordinate organizations at the Los Angeles Recruiting Battalion, Encino, CA.

    • Provide technical assistance and support on computer and other Information Technology related problems to include equipment operation and maintenance, analytical techniques to test and analyze computer equipment malfunctions, and software errors.
    • Install and configure network peripherals to be used via the Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, and Virtual Private Network.
    • Install and troubleshoot network operating systems, network protocols, interface cables, and all software on networked or standalone computers.
    • Manage and account for mobile Information Technology communications devices within the organization determining the level of telecommunication services and equipment needed to support recruiting operations.
    • Provide orientation and training for all users to learn and understand the information and communications systems, software applications and packages utilized within the command.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel up to 10% Temporary Duty (TDY) for this position.
