    • Provides program leadership for all fisheries (including threatened, endangered, and sensitive species) resources and management activities on the Forest including planning and budgeting for assigned resource management.
    • Oversees budgets for current fiscal year and plans for out-year funding needs within assigned area of responsibility.
    • Coordinates input from field units to identify attainment targets; to recommend funds for subunits; and to monitor, evaluate, and report on program accomplishments.
    • Provides training of Districts specialists to assure the most current information is used in management of the programs.
    • Reviews District work for technical accuracy and evaluates the effectiveness of habitat improvement projects.
    • Provides advice to the Forest Supervisor, District Rangers, and their staffs on controversial issues and difficult problems involving fisheries management (including threatened, endangered, and sensitive species).
    • Translates National and Regional policies and direction into Forest level programs and guidance.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. Travel will be for out of area meetings and training.
