    You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the Engineering and Planning Department, Fluid/Mechanical Engineering and Planning Division, Code 200 of PSNS and IMF.

    • You will be responsible for providing engineering sevices in the development of detailed technical specifications, material orders; quality assurance, and test requirements of surface ships and submarines
    • You will serve as a consultant engineer and principal advisor to the Fluids/Mechanical Engineering and Planning Division Manager on all matters concerned with technical features of ship design.
    • You will review, analyze, and evaluate designs, proposals, and ideas submitted by others.
    • You will have applicable knowledge of nuclear and non-nuclear ship design and operating conditions, and of the specialized factors associated with a marine environment.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
