The Engineering Service of the VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS) is seeking two Biomedical Equipment Support Specialists (BESS) (Information Systems) for our Biomedical Engineering Section at the Dallas Hospital in VISN 17. The Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist will serve as the Medical Information Systems Administrator. The BESS is responsible for the systems administration for all medical information system servers. The BESS will provide continued operational insurance and support of network connectivity to all of the associated and integrated medical devices and information systems and modalities to include Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), cardiology management system, imaging modalities, networked laboratory systems, networked physiological monitoring systems, networked telemedicine systems and other patient information systems throughout VA North Texas Health Care System. The BESS is responsible for the Medical Information Systems and all associated networking support of hospital and VISN-wide networked medical information systems, servers, archives, and other databases
Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, alternate work schedule may be available.
