    Summary

    This position is located in USDA- Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Associate Chief Financial Officer for Financial Operations, Transparency and Accountability Reporting Division, Washington, DC.

    The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert and consultant to Department management officials on business process controls and information technology security requirements, and component agencies' compliance.

    Responsibilities

    • Review legislation, rules and regulations, and Departmental guidelines for impact on the Department's financial management and internal control programs
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend options on issues that affect the Department's financial management activities.
    • Prepare procedures to implement approved Department systems, regulations and policies, and identify the need for and recommend modifications and improvements.
    • Collaborate and coordinate on matters relating to IT policy arid planning of financial system controls across the Department and ensure compliance with plans, policies, standards, infrastructure, and architecture of IT management and program.
    • Ensure that the Department's decision makers receive financial information that is accurate,complete, consistent, relevant, timely, and comprehensive
    • Review Departmental and OMB/GAO proposals and issuances that may alter the design of the Department's financial management and internal control programs.
