This National Guard position is for a TRAINING SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D0579000 and is part of the CO JFHQ G3, National Guard.
The primary purpose of this position is to prepare training plans, methods of operations, and to provide staff level planning and assistance to ensure that the required training and readiness objectives are achieved.

Develops short and long term training plans (5 years and more) for the state. Serves as state's marksmanship coordinator. Reviews FORSCOM 5 year exercise plans. Analyzes the 5 yedr Overseas Deployment Training (ODT) Plan. Manages Key Personnel Upgrade Program (KPUP). Wanages Technical'Assistance Program and Special Training Program. Develops plans and procedures for directed and nondirected training to include affiliation, roundout and split unit out-of-state. Manages Nuclear Biological Chemical (NBC) Program. Manages Physical Training (PT) Program. Coordinates on displaced equipment training and new equipment training with staff management officials as required. Acts for the supervisor in his/her absence. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience in training centers, training programs, schools, and units.
2. Experience in conducting and developing education and training programs.
3. Experience in managing programs to include developmental education, voluntary education, advanced academic education, promotion testing, and libraries.
4. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products.
5. Experience in training program management; scheduling training events and facilities; conducting assistance visits and training meetings; work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; military personnel classification system and policies; communicative interpersonal skill applications; and distance learning concepts.
Education cannot be substituted for Specialized Experience for this position.

10. Per ARNG-HRH Policy Memorandum #10-39, mandatory Full Time Staff (FTS) training is required within a year of hire as a condition of employment in vacancy announcements for both Technician and Active Guard Reserve positions. Failure of new FTS personnel to complete NGB prescribed courses at PEC within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment to other full time positions or termination of their employment.
11. Current COANG Technicians and AGRs hired for a position in which an MCR is required will remain in their current status unless/until the MCR is approved. In the event the MCR is not approved, they are accepting the position in their current status.
