    Summary

    The position is located in the Office of Counterterrorism Finance and Designations (CT/CTFD), Bureau of Counterterrorism.  The incumbent handles day-to-day coordination within the CT Bureau ensure CTF policy is reflected in CT-Bureau funded programming with key foreign partners and regional and multilateral organizations.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as a subject matter expert on counterterrorism finance (CTF) policy portfolio for the CTFD office and CT Bureau, develops, integrates, and promotes appropriate policy solutions to complex and evolving global terrorist finance issues.
    • Identifies major emerging policy issues to develop policy alternatives, make policy recommendations, and provide advice to senior CT Bureau officers and the CT Bureau Front Office, and senior leaders within the State Department.
    • Serves as CT Bureau's representative in high-level counterterrorist finance policy making meetings with senior level representatives from other State bureaus, and U.S. agencies, including the intelligence community, as well as Congressional staff.
    • Provides administrative planning and resource management and oversight to ensure that activities of the organization support the CT Bureau's objectives and goals in the area of counterterrorist finance policy.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Overseas travel may be required.
