This position is located in the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (WSFR) in the Northeast Region. The WSFR program works with the 13 States, District of Columbia and tribal partners to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, their habitats, and the hunting, sport fishing and recreational boating opportunities they provide. WSFR provides oversight, technical assistance, and administrative support for the following grant programs: Wildlife Restoration, Sport Fish Restoration, Clean Vessel Act, Boating Infrastructure, National Coastal Wetlands Conservation, State Wildlife Grants, Landowner Incentive, Tribal Wildlife, Section 6 Endangered Species, White-nose Syndrome, Highlands Conservation Act, and Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Grants. The Division administers hundreds of grants totaling over $200 million annually.
The incumbent will administer and monitor land acquisition grants under the Wildlife Restoration, Sport Fish Restoration, Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Programs, and other grant programs. Job duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
