     The Supervisory Forensic Chemist functioning as the first level supervisor for the employees assigned to the Arson and Explosives Section 

    Assigning and reviewing work, establishing general work goals making special work assignments, advising employees of performance requirements, preparing formal evaluations, resolving minor disciplinary problems, approving leave and identifying training needs;

    Establishing general work goals, and determining material, equipment and supplies needed;

    Preparing workload and other administrative reports;

    Overseeing technical work, including complex examination of samples;

    Communicating with ATF employees, supervisors, agents, other law enforcement officers and attorneys to resolve technical matters pertaining to laboratory findings;

    Serving as Chief, Forensic Science Laboratory as required.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Traveled required up to 5 times a month
