- Assists in preparing the Area operating budget for the fiscal year and ensures compliance with agency and state budget requirements.
- As purchase card holder, purchases supplies, equipment, and services within delegated authority using mandatory or open market sources.
- Serves as the timekeeper in reviewing and verifying time and attendance.
- Assists in preparing Personnel Action requests (SF-52s) and associated documentation for submission to the state office.
- Assists in the review of vehicular accidents involving government vehicles, ensuring the proper forms are completed.
- Schedules meetings, prepares agendas, makes arrangements for meeting facilities and notifies participants of schedule changes.
- Receives and review incoming correspondence.
- Establishes, organizes, and maintains a filing system of official material and records.

Specialized Experience GS-06: To qualify for the GS-06 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. This experience includes:
- Providing a variety of administrative and technical support relating to personnel, procurement, budget and/or general administrative management; and
- Organizing travel and meeting arrangements for management officials and program staff.
- Performing a variety of administrative support services in support of a business or program office;

- Purchasing office supplies, equipment, vehicles and tracking expenditures;
- Providing timekeeping services and reconciling time and attendance documents;
- Making travel arrangements; and
