    Responsibilities

    As the Director of the Service Desk Operations Division, you will be responsible for the following: 

    • Planning, directing, and managing the activities of the Division, establishing long and short range goals, determining the resources required to accomplish the functions assigned to the division.
    • Developing procedures and establishes business area contacts for performing regular, periodic reviews of SDOD services. Working with other OCIO groups and USPTO business areas to ensure accuracy and consistency of services provided.
    • Identifying financial and manpower resources necessary to carry out programs. Justifying funding levels for continuing and improving service to solve IT systems, software, or hardware problems and provide specialized application and program area support.

    • Developing policies, procedures, and technical standards for the key process areas of the Division to ensure timely, reliable, innovative, and cost-effective access to USPTO information technology services and product.
