    Summary

    You will serve as an ENGINEER or SCIENTIST in the Electro-Optic Science and Technology Branch within the Electro-Optic Technology Division of the Special Warfare and Expeditionary Systems Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

    The ND-05 pay band is equivalent to the GS-14/15 grade levels.

    Responsibilities

    • You will provide technical leadership in the Electro Optic (EO), Infrared (IR), or Beam Control technologies areas.
    • You will research emerging Beam Control technologies to assess potential integration with existing systems.
    • You will support High Energy Laser engagement to help advance state of the art technologies for EO/IR systems in precision target localization, atmospheric compensation, laser hardening of optical materials, and countermeasures.
    • You will collaborate with other Warfare Centers for influencing the development, testing, and use of Beam Control components and subsystems critical for targeting and tracking on High Energy Laser (HEL) programs.
    • You will communicate complex systems and processes to individuals with varying levels of understanding.
