    About the Position:

    Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs final closeout of assigned contracts; e.g., assures delivery, inspection and acceptance of contractual end items.
    • Maintains cognizance over a series of complex contracts, grants and other transactions
    • Performs required contract administration functions, such as determining eligibility and verifying evidence of contractor's progress for approval of contract financing.
    • Negotiates various overhead rate agreements, forward pricing rate agreements, and advance agreements
    • Establishes a negotiation position based on technical reviews, knowledge of contractor's operations, business acumen, and established guidelines governing profit or fee.
    • Conducts pre and post award conferences with the contractor to provide information and clarify standards, provide special provisions, and ensure compliance with and understanding of contractual requirements
    • Reviews, amends, and accepts/rejects the completed work of team members
