    This position is located in the Department of Commerce, Economic Development Specialist, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Economic Development Specialist (EDS) analyzes and monitors disaster-related investments, as it relates to the development of grant proposals, the subsequent award of grants, and other activities

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares award documentation and circulates for planning, environmental, engineering, legal review, Area and Regional Director?s approval and documentation of actions.
    • Develops, analyzes, and monitors investments, and conducts quality assurance with EDA?s funding priorities and investments.
    • Assists applicants and/or stakeholders by advising applicants on eligibility rules, policy priorities, and applicable regulations; to include resolving and/or mitigating application deficiencies.
    • Monitors grant recipient compliance with post-approval performance measures and continually assesses progress on project implementation.
