    About the Position: The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, with multiple satellite offices. ACC-APG's mission supports the warfighter with acquisition of goods and services vital to their mission and well-being. The ACC-APG workforce are highly trained Contracting Specialists ready to support the warfighter mission requirements while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayers' funds.

    • Serves as a Supervisory Contracting Officer/Branch Chief overseeing, managing and directing daily operations.
    • Manage contract negotiations, awards (pre and post), contract modifications, contract management/administration and terminations encompassing diverse and complex types of contracts.
    • Reviews negotiation strategies and provides direction/guidance on a variety of contracts which may include firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursement, special purpose contracts and agreements. (e.g., basic agreement, indefinite delivery contracts).
    • Serves as an advisor identifying procurement problems, analyzing regulations and developing innovative solutions/recommendations/strategies to meet mission partner objectives.
    • Briefs Senior Contracting Officials, Mission Partners and Division Leader on various acquisition and contracting matters.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
