The incumbent will works directly with the History and Public Policy Program (HAPP) Digital Archive and HAPP's collections of archival documents. The incumbent will support the program's outreach initiatives and public engagement efforts through online publication of digitalized archival materials. Major duties and responsibilities at the full performance level include:
At the GS-07 level, you will be performing similar work with additional guidance, trainings, and supervision. The scope and complexity of work is less than that of the full performance level but you will be exposed to complex issues.

To minimally qualify for this position, you must meet both the BASIC REQUIREMENT and the QUALIFICATIONS CRITERIA:
A. BASIC REQUIREMENT:
A Bachelor's degree in archival / library science or bachelor's degree with a major that includes 18 semester hours in archival science, history and/or in political science or government, and 12 semester hours in one or any combination of the following: archival science, history, American civilization, economics, political science, public administration, or government.
OR
A combination of education and experience - at least 30 semester hours that included courses as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

B. QUALIFICATIONS CRITERIA:
Specialized Experience for GS-07: One full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-05) level (relative to federal and market standards): (1) maintaining a repository of historical records (paper and electronic files), (2) broad knowledge of history demonstrated through academic background and scholarly research, (3) assisting senior staff members in analyzing and evaluating historical records, and (4) ability to collaborate with scholars and researchers.
OR
Education (Superior Academic Achievement): A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college AND meet one of the requirements for Superior Academic Achievement: (1) class standing (upper third standing in graduating class based on completed courses); or (2) grade-point average (3.0 overall or over the last two years of bachelor's degree -or- 3.5 in my major field or over the last two years in my major); or (3) election to membership in a national scholastic honor society.
OR
Education (Graduate Education): One full year (18 semester hours or equivalent) of graduate level education. This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. Related graduate level education includes archival / library science, history, American civilization, economics, political science, public administration or government.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: Combination of graduate level education and specialized experience to qualify for this position. Only graduate level education in excess of one year (i.e., 18 semester hours) may be combined with experience under this standard.
