    Summary

    You will serve as a HEALTH PHYSICIST in the RADIOLOGICAL CONTROLS DEPARTMENT of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.

    Responsibilities

    • You will conduct evaluations of ionizing radiation hazards in a variety of operational environments that may or may not have impact on each other.
    • You will apply federal regulations, Navy directories, and radiation protection procedures, policies, and protocols.
    • You will integrate theoretical and scientific expertise with established criteria to develop methods or set precedents for new approaches to program investigation, inspection and corrective actions.
    • You will develop and maintain a requisite level of knowledge and qualification across all functional areas of the Naval Sea Systems Command Detachment Radiological Affairs Support Office (RASO).
    • You will coordinate assigned and special projects involving the use or control of radioactive materials or equipment capable of producing ionizing/non-ionizing radiation.
