The Sterile Compounding Program Manager has oversight responsibility for the competencies, environmental conditions, automation, and work processes associated with all sterile and non-sterile compounding completed within EOVAHCS. They will be knowledgeable of and maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations associated with sterile and non-sterile compounding including but not limited to, USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, and VHA handbooks/directives, and facility policies. The pharmacist will be responsible for having a thorough knowledge of contemporary medication distribution systems as well as VHA applications including VISTA, CPRS, VCM, and other computer software employed by the service. They will also participate in the general duties of a staff pharmacist including order verification and IV preparation.
