    Summary

    The selectee for this position will serve as an Interdisciplinary Physical Scientist/Geophysicist/Mathematician/Computer Scientist in the Bathymetric Data Bases Branch (NP421) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

    Responsibilities

    • You will develop/maintain department data archival and relational database capabilities and quality.
    • You will develop/maintain department geospatial data exploitation and discovery capabilities and quality.
    • You will develop/maintain department-developed post processing GOTS software suites.
    • You will oversee/coordinate configuration management of department hardware/software/databases.
    • You will supervise teams in the completion of work assignments.
    • You will develop/evaluate innovative approaches to bathymetric/hydrographic data processing/visualization.
    • You will ensures compliance of hardware/software with all applicable standards.
    • You will provide guidance to and/or directs others in the application of system administration and information assurance techniques.
    • You will participate in technical meetings/conferences.
    • You will perform field duty assignments.
    • You will serve as an Alternate Contracting Officer Representative (ACOR).
    • You will serve as a Data Transfer Agent (DTA).

    Travel Required

    50% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
