    This position is located in the Education Department, National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI), Smithsonian Institution.  The employee assists the Workshop Coordinator with the planning, development, coordination and implementation of workshops and related programs.

    • Conducts subject-area research to assure that all workshops present accurate and culturally sensitive content.
    • Designs, develops and implements educational workshop programs including adult workshops, student workshops, after school programs, intergenerational workshops, distance learning programs, classroom and gallery activities and teacher training.
    • Coordinates all internal administrative requirements related to programs.
    • Coordinates external administrative matters including initial contracting, obtaining rights and permissions, arranging invitational travel, local lodging, ordering supplies and materials for workshops.
