At the entry level of this position, you will:
- Provide guidance and advice for state, territory, tribal and national water quality monitoring and assessment programs under the Clean water Act (CWA) and the safe Drinking water act (SDWA). Assist with implementation of the National Aquatic Resource Surveys which measure and evaluates the condition of the nation's rivers, streams, lakes, wetlands and coastal waters.
- Responsible for undertaking data analysis to support CWA/SDWA programs and coordinating with others to facilitate data analysis and expand use of the data for research.
- Conduct outreach and communication efforts such as coordinating conference calls of steering committee and other groups regarding the surveys, creating fact sheets, presentations, and related materials for the survey. Communicate with states, and other stakeholders to manage data sets and documents version issues.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
Occasional travel - You may be required to travel 25% of each month.
