    About the Position: Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.

    The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13.

    Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the administration of a group of contracts including Fixed-Priced, Fixed Price with Incentives, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Cost Plus Incentive Fee, Cost Plus Award Fee, Cost Type Facilities, and basic ordering agreements as authorized.
    • Performs final closeout of assigned contracts; e.g., assures delivery, inspection and acceptance of contractual end items and that all administrative and reporting actions have been resolved before recommending final closeout of the contract.
    • Contacts the responsible buying activity to resolve discrepancies such as missing or inconsistent provisions.
    • Monitors contractor performance for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contract provisions to include but not limited to delivery schedules, payment provisions, contract data reporting requirements, and other contractual requirements.
    • Ensures compliance with Cost Accounting Standards and resolves non-compliance issues based on evaluation of disclosure statements, reports, advice and assistance from legal office, price/cost analysts, engineers, auditors.
    • Receives requests from procuring activities for specific services and/or products specified under BOAs, or by provisioning and spare parts clauses of contracts.
    • Negotiates prices and executes supplemental agreements for services, spare parts, provisioned items, and repairs.
    • Review and sign contract administrative actions. Serves as warranted ACO reviewing and signing transactions of $2,000,000 or less.
