An Air Cargo Specialist, WG, 5201, 10, Inspects a variety of airdrop equipment such as parachutes, multi loop lines, extraction transfer force couplings, latch assembly couplings, cable assembly couplings, actuator assembly, release cargo parachute M-1, lanyard arming wire, connector parachute, timer delay assembly, link lower suspension, link assembly single suspension type IV, link assembly heavy duty, link 4 point, parachute release single knife, bracket suspension, and tie down cargo quick release. Performs visual, dimensional, and operational inspection of the above mentioned equipment at the prescribed times, in accordance with warnings, cautions, and notes and ground precautionary messages (GPM), for safety of flight. Performs airdrop inspections after priorities are set, work sequences are determined, and pertinent policy matters have been reviewed. Independently performs assignments at the aircraft where the supervisor is not readily available. Performs three separate inspections of airdrop loads or containers rigged for airdrop prior to the actual airdrop. Makes decisions on a wide range of matters that may involve deviations and departures from past precedents and accepted practice or highly subjective judgments that could affect safety of flight and crew. The first inspection is a rigger inspection required by the field manual or technical order for that particular type of load. Rigs and prepares unilateral airdrop training loads to include type V or other airdrop platforms for airdrops. Fabricates container delivery systems loads, skid boards, and other associated airdrop items, as required. Receives, unpacks, and inspects unit possessed parachutes. Performs drop zone control operations as Drop Zone Controller/Safety Officer. Formulates, implements, and documents programs to train Wing augmentation in support of Wing air transportation deployment functions to ensure effective and efficient operations of installation deployment processes. As a minimum, develops deployment lesson plans for the following areas: Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as K-Loaders and forklifts, Load Planning Overview, Cargo Preparation/Pallet Build Up, Ramp Coordinator, Cargo Deployment Function work-centers (i.e., In-Check, Cargo Marshalling Yard, Joint Inspection, Hazardous Cargo Handlers, Explosives Safety, Quality Control, and Load Teams) and the transportation portion of the Passenger Deployment Function. Provides sound advice and technical expertise on air transportation issues to the Installation Deployment Officer, all Squadron, Group, and Wing commanders. Makes appropriate recommendations and implements changes within the element and associated processes. Ensures items offered for transport by air meet proper specifications to maximize safety and security of the aircraft, aircrew, cargo and passengers. Inspects cargo received for airlift to verify eligibility and ensures proper documentation, packaging, and marking in accordance with applicable DOD directives. Serves as the wing focal point for 463L pallet and net management. Performs other additional duties as assigned.

Area 3: All Minnesota National Guard members currently assigned to the MNANG or to the MNARNG applying for a position within the component in which they are currently assigned. i.e. temporary technician or Traditional Guardsman.
Area 4: Currently assigned service members in other branches of the military outside of the Minnesota National Guard, to include those assigned to Active Duty, Reserve or other state's National Guard.
Area 5: All individuals able to and willing to become members of the Minnesota National Guard including prior service not currently assigned to a military component and non-prior service US civilians.
