Serves as a senior Biologist in the Science Division of the Bay Delta Office (BDO). Assists the Division Chief with coordination of the fish and wildlife responsibilities associated with the Central Valley Project (CVP), including biological support for water operations, habitat restoration, facility improvements, and other measures in the San Francisco Bay Estuary/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Bay-Delta). Represents Reclamation interests by leading, and participating in, multi-disciplinary forums with state and federal agencies and stakeholders. Leads various teams to conduct project analysis, prioritize Reclamation funding and other resources, perform environmental compliance, and provide technical support to identify and evaluate scientific resources or issues related to water quality, fisheries, and other aquatic organisms.
-Participates as a leader and team member in emerging multi-agency, stakeholder, and interested party collaborative science and adaptive management processes.
-Leads one or more multi-agency and stakeholder collaborative Science Work Plans to implement data science and special study products.
-Negotiates study plans to make compromises with the multi-agency teams to ensure Reclamation interests are accomplished.
-Participates as a technical expert in the field on Management Analysis, Synthesis, Teams (MASTs) to gather, compile, and understand project results in coordination with senior scientists from partner agencies.
-Furnishes technical advice to the BDO and throughout the Regional organization in the identification and evaluation of scientific resources problems related to water quality, fisheries, and other aquatic organisms.
-Prepares and/or oversees the preparation and review of technical and policy-related comments on water quality, fisheries, and other aquatic biological aspects of technical management reports, policies, programs, standards and procedures.
-Provides leadership to team members in achieving specific tasks, producing work products and services, and meeting program goals.
