    This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Central Office, Deputy Director, Trust Services, Division of Forestry & Wildland Fire Management in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

    • Develop national policies, standard guides and instructions covering all phases of work involved in the management of Indian and Alaska Native forest resources.
    • Provide technical direction for formulation of national policies and procedures for program administration, forest product valuation and utilization, forest product sales and administration, marketing, and forest management deductions.
    • Serve as a staff specialist and expert consultant regarding Forest Product Contracts, Permits, and Administration.
    • Provide technical assistance to Bureau field programs and tribal governments on the proper use of forest management deductions and in the development and approval of expenditure plans.
    • Serve as a staff specialist and expert consultant regarding establishment and maintenance of Indian Forest Land Assistance Accounts (IFLAA).
    • Review, coordinate, and provide oversight for all forest product harvest research, planning development, and utilization of project proposals.
