    This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Region, Office of the Regional Director, Division of Administration, Branch of Facilities in Nashville, Tennessee.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for planning, scheduling and assigning work; evaluates, advises, and reviews work of subordinates and set priorities.
    • Represents the Region on regional teams in order to resolve complex issues.
    • Implements, reviews, and provides analysis and evaluation of operations and maintenance, repair, replacement and improvement of facilities including buildings and structures; heating and utility systems; grounds and landscaping; and other related plant facilities.
    • Ensures all site safety inspections are accomplished and reports are distributed.
    • Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) on commercial contracts, Awarding Officials Technical Representative (AOTR) on P.L. 93-638 contracts, and Grants Officer's Technical Representative (GOTR) on P.L. 100-297 Education Grants.
    • Provides guidance to Tribes and Agencies on environmental regulations, building standards and code compliance.
    • Provides technical assistance to Tribes for all Facility Program self-determination contracts and grants.
    • Performs periodic inspection of Agency facilities and evaluation of performance of facilities management programs.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, training and/or visit construction sites.
