    This position is located on the Sawtooth National Forest, Ketchum Ranger District and Sawtooth National Recreation Area, in Ketchum ID.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform supervisory duties 20% or less
    • Provide advice and develop plans for the protection and management of aquatic resources.
    • Lead the design of fish habitat and population monitoring studies.
    • Prepare environmental assessments, biological evaluations and environmental impact statements.
    • Ensure fish habitat management plans are implemented.
    • Review proposed land management projects and make recommendations for fisheries habitat protection and enhancement.
    • Provide recommendations relating fishery resource/fish habitat requirements, other management activities, including streamside/riparian area and watershed protection.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
