The Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Health Care System, in conjunction with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, is seeking a part-time staff physician to be Pulmonary/Critical Care Specialist in Medicine Service. The candidate must ensure compliance with all quality, policy, and regulatory requirements. The physician will participate in inpatient and outpatient quality care, teaching, and research related to pulmonary/critical care diseases. He/she will apply national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance and management of such diseases. The incumbent must have advanced training and/or experience managing patients with interstitial lung disease. He/she must be proficient in routine and advanced bronchoscopic and pleural procedures, including EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial therapeutic interventions and bedside ultrasound. The physician will participate in the education and supervision of trainees. Strong research experience is preferred. Successful candidate must qualify for a faculty appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. If selected for this position you must meet specific individual eligibility requirements, and submit your application within four months of appointment. The final award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office.
Note: Education and length of practice will be considered through a formal pay-setting process in determining the final compensable salary (Base Pay + Market Pay).
