    This position is located at the Tahoe National Forest in Nevada City, CA.

    Serve as the Forest Wildlife Program Manager and Forest Fishery Program Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, programming for all activities related to the terrestrial wildlife and threatened, endangered and sensitive terrestrial wildlife species.

    • Provide program leadership for all terrestrial wildlife and fisheries (including threatened, endangered, and sensitive species) resources and management activities on the unit.
    • Identify issues to develop management alternatives and strategies to provide recommendation on terrestrial wildlife and fisheries species.
    • Recommend evaluation and management of habitat as they related to general forestland resource management.
    • Review functional programs to ensure consistency with policies, strategies, and program emphasis in approved land management plans.
    • Direct the collection and interpretation of terrestrial wildlife and fishery habitat data.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - To attend training/ meetings and project related work.
