    Summary

    This position is located in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as an International Broadcaster (Multimedia) in the Korean Service with responsibility for conceiving, planning, researching, writing, and broadcasting original audio/video scripts of a highly complex nature and for providing internet content for web sites.

    Responsibilities

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    - Adapts and/or translates material from English to Korean, which may include simultaneous translations.
    - Writes news-related and feature stories for use in radio, television, or Internet posting.
    -Prepares targeted, well-balanced scripts for television and radio programs or program segments that capture the attention of the audience.
    -Initiates and conducts original interviews with a wide variety of subjects and news sources, some of whom may be suspicious and uncooperative.
    -Edits broadcast segments, including stringer reports.
    -Keeps abreast of current developments in the target area in order to plan and develop program materials that are relevant and consistent with broad U.S. policy aims.
