    About the Position: Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.

    • Conducts Contract Receipt and Review (CRR) functions related to contract cost, schedule and performance for buying activities and DCMA elements.
    • Provides technical advice and consultation in relation to Independent Research and Development Bid and Proposal expenses, first article inspections, production, plant layout, manufacturing processes and techniques, and contract schedule changes.
    • Plans, executes, and documents surveillance of design, development, and production efforts at contractor facilities on behalf of the Contract Management Office using the performance indicators identified in DCMA engineering surveillance processes.
    • Applies the DCMA engineering surveillance performance indicators to assess the contractors performance and provide feedback to the Chief Engineer.
    • Evaluates contractor manufacturing and design processes for implementation of engineering best practices and contractor change proposals.
    • Provides technical advice to Contract Management Office personnel on problems, conditions, programs, and functions.
    • Assists the Chief Engineer with responses to inquires, findings, and Agency recommendations.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Business Travel is required 10% of the time.
