    This position of STATISTICIAN starts at a salary of $117,191.00 (GS-14, Step 01), with pay potential to $152,352.00 (GS-14, Step 10).

    • Direct and conduct analytical studies and research projects using advanced statistical techniques.
    • Provide expert and statistically based advice concerning the selection of appropriate statistical methodologies for specific problem applications and oversee the implementation of the methods selected.
    • Identify and assess analytical or methodological challenges and identify and apply innovative or creative technical and statistical approaches, often in areas where no precedent exists.
    • Act independently in the planning and execution of different variation of analytical projects/projections and make authoritative decisions requiring considerable technical and sound statistical judgment.
    • Report on findings, estimates, forecasts, and/or recommendations and provide expert statistical advice needed used to develop immigration policies, regulations, and procedures.
    • Conduct analytical studies and statistical analyses of complex administrative data and/or secondary sourced data utilizing analytical and statistical software and programming language, such as SAS, R, SQL, Microsoft Access, etc.
