    At the entry level of this position, you will:

    - Assist in providing technical assistance regarding planning, assessment, and management of dredged material, derelict vessels, and other materials under the Clean Water Act (CWA) and the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act (MPRSA).

    - Evaluate testing and monitoring data to determine its significance and communicate findings in oral and written reports;

    - Design and conduct estuarine and ocean monitoring surveys to evaluate risks and opportunities associated with Water Division activities, especially those associated with ocean management of materials;

    - Participate in the preparation, issuance and oversight of contracts, federal grants and interagency work assignments

    You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.

    When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
