    The individual selected for this position will perform the duties as listed below:

    -Performs basic factual analysis and research of pertinent facts, applicable law and established policy relating to petitions practice.

    -Prepares decisions for review and signature on petitions, ensuring all requirements of the pertinent patent laws, regulations, and policies have been satisfied.

    -Assists internal and external USPTO customers on petitions-related matters on the Petitions Help Desk.

    -Performs special projects as assigned by supervisor.

    -Reviews and prepares indexes of petition decisions and points of law or practice for reference purposes.
