    The incumbent will participate with and assists the Confidentiality Officer in reviewing and analyzing statistical programs, projects and survey reports to ensure that privacy and confidentiality requirements are adhered to while balancing the need for data access and public use.

    As a Statistician (Health) you will:

    • Assist management in the day to day operations of the agency's Confidentiality Office.
    • Review documents for compliance with NCHS confidentiality and privacy requirements.
    • Manage and maintain database of Designated Agent Agreements, including notification of agreement expiration and confirmation of final disposition of data.
    • Manage and maintain non-disclosure agreements and training certificates.
    • Prepare periodic reports on status of NCHS data use agreements, Designated Agent Agreements, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) activities.
    • Plan meetings, take notes, and maintain record of decisions for public release for the Agency Disclosure Review Board (DRB).
    • Assist in reviewing DRB submissions and make recommendations with respect to public release data.
    • Prepare responses for, track FOIA requests, and prepare quarterly report relating to FOIA activity.
    • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures and confidentiality training materials for NCHS staff and contractors.
    • Track and log the Confidentiality Office's tasks and requests.
    • Other duties as assigned
