    About the Position: Serves as a watershed planning and water resources plan formulation expert and as the District's senior specialist in Water Resources Plan Formulation. Provides initial guidance on policy matters, instructions on program objectives to be achieved and changes in work priorities. Provides recommendations and decisions in the Water Resources Plan Formulation areas.

    • Applies a wealth of water resources planning and project development expertise.
    • Reviews overall planning approach and methods to be applied.
    • Analyzes overall planning study results including results of engineering, economic, and environmental studies.
    • Provides plan formulation and policy compliance and chairs quality assurance/quality control review process for decision documents.
    • Provides authoritative advice on all planning studies and Federal and non-Federal requirements during planning, design, as well as during the construction phase of projects.
    • Provides mentoring to junior planners and monitors their progress.
    • Considers water resources planning and policy requirements in applications of planning, design and construction documents.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Business Travel (TDY) is approximately 25% of the time or less.
